About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our Environmental Infrastructure team in the Pacific Northwest. This position will report to our Environmental Infrastructure team lead and focus on solid waste management projects. Project types include varied civil and environmental projects associated with solid and hazardous waste management, and facility design and operation, with services such as:
- Solid waste facility planning, siting, design, permitting and construction;
- Solid waste facility condition assessment;
- Landfill and facility expansion;
- Facility operation and maintenance;
- Facility permitting and compliance;
- Landfill containment system liner design;
- Leachate management;
- Landfill gas management and flare design;
- Contaminated site monitoring and remediation; and
- Public-private partnership formation for solid waste management services.
Some of Parametrix’s main public sector Environmental Infrastructure and solid waste clients include the; Ports of Sunnyside, Olympia and Morrow; Washington Counties: Snohomish, Clark, Grant, King, Kitsap, Kittitas, and Okanogan; Idaho Counties: Elmore and Kootenai, and Oregon Counties: Deschutes and Lane, and the cities of Richland, Walla Walla, and Bremerton; and Seattle Public Utilities. We also perform engineering, permitting, and compliance work for numerous private companies throughout the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii.
We offer remote flexibility and embrace work/life balance. This position can be based in Washington, Oregon, or Idaho with occasional travel throughout these states to interact with clients and coworkers.
You Will:
- Pursue, manage and deliver varied solid waste related projects.
- Know and understand the solid waste market in the Pacific Northwest and support business development.
- Lead the solid waste practice team.
- Support current project and client management.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior professionals.
You Have:
- Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or other field combined with an environmental focus),
- PE License in Washington, Oregon or Idaho
- 10+ years of A&E consulting experience
- An established reputation with the solid waste market place in the Pacific Northwest.
Compensation Information: Base salary for this position is in the range of $160,000-$190,000+.
Compensation is determined by factors such as education, experience, location, and role. As employee-owners, we are eligible for performance-based bonuses and our salaries are reviewed annually. We value transparency and look forward to discussing our compensation structure.
