Detailed Description:
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to execute work involving conventional types of civil, environmental, and/or mechanical engineering principals and other related activities for water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.
- Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines (e.g., drafters, designers, and other engineers).
- Work on large, coordinated teams and provide task and action item management.
- Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design related activities.
- Provide support on a variety of environmental engineering and master planning projects.
- Assist with the preparation of calculations, technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents.
- Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications as part of engineering services during construction.
- Assist with engineering services during construction including submittal reviews, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders for construction projects.
- Conduct field work as necessary for various projects.
- Successfully manage and deliver assignments on time and on budget.
- Adhere to Brown and Caldwell’s quality assurance/quality control process.
Required Qualifications:
- Self-starter, results-oriented, and ability to work under deadlines. Desire to work on projects related to drinking water, water reuse, stormwater, wastewater treatment, and conveyance infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
- Strong technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and on large, coordinated teams.
- Ability and willingness to perform field work at various sites.
- Proficiency in standard software including MS Office, Outlook, MathCAD and Bluebeam.
- Strong aptitude for researching and solving technical problems.
- Self-starter, results-oriented, and ability to work under deadlines.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering.
- EIT certification.
- Plan to obtain Washington PE.
Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location C:
Salary: $70,000 - $95,000
