Overview
As a CAD Techfor Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will be given the opportunity to perform engineering tasks that will help develop your design/drafting skillsets while supporting our project teams on a variety of industrial and manufacturing facility projects. Our CAD Tech role provides you the opportunity to work on the latest state-of-the-art facilities in a wide variety of markets such as industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, real estate, solid waste, power, and public sector. We are seeking self-motivated individuals with strong communication skills and a passion to gain professional experience and knowledge in a team environment. You should be a detail-oriented professional, understand the importance of meeting personal and team commitments and be flexible in adapting to a fast-paced environment with a technical associate degree or high school diploma and equivalent related experience.
This position is for a field assignment working at a client site in Huger, SC.
Qualifications
- 0 - 3 years’ experience on industrial, manufacturing or similar type projects;
- Coordinate with lead engineer to develop sketches and review specific model items across mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines as required;
- Evaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information and coordinating design criteria with lead engineer;
- Knowledge of computer aided drafting software;
- Familiar with using Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel; and
- Ability to work on client site located in Huger, SC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, REVIT, Plant 3D, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
- Working knowledge of other 3D design software such as Inventor, SOLIDWORKS, etc.
