GPJ is hiring a Housing Project Manager to join our growing team!
This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to one of the following office locations a minimum of 2 days/week: San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Austin.
Your Role
As the Housing Project Manager, you are responsible for developing and executing Housing program operations from concept to final reconciliation. As the client's primary contact for housing and contract related matters, you will have your finger on the pulse of everything housing. This role requires you to develop strong relationships within the hotel partners for the program and have an understanding of housing contracts and addendums business terms.
You will be required to provide 360 degree room block management to maximize selling the contracted blocks. Your goal is to minimize attrition or alert when hotel blocks sell out, providing a strategy to book up to arrival. You begin with presenting a comprehensive plan, with room block breakdown, to configure the booking platform and oversee the complete attendee experience from launch - until cut off date. You ensure the hotels book all the reservations accurately.
You will provide client and stakeholders reporting dashboard, post-program reports, commission collection and may need to negotiate and mitigate attrition.

Your Experience
Experience & Education
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event management, hospitality (Group Reservations ideally) or a related field.
- Proven track record in managing hotel room blocks for large-scale events is highly desirable.
- Experience with hotel booking systems and event management software preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Travel & Mobility
- Some travel (site visits) may be needed and on-location support is typically required.

Deliver: Produce with excellence, in all your areas you touch directly or indirectly, for the client, the project you are assigned, and the GPJ team.
Communication: Able to relate ideas to others in many forms (email, phone, in person) and ensure that all who need to be informed are kept in the loop, making sure no detail is left out. Advocate and educate for the housing management services and practice.
Solution Oriented: With tight project management practices using GPJWay, focus on the desired outcome and be clear as reaching key milestones such as (but not limited to (cut off dates, block release/s, commission agreements) and communicate those in weekly client/team meetings.
Versatile: Action oriented and approach work with a "can do" attitude. Willing to understand client contracts, procurement requirements and supplier code of conduct, scope and work with the client, in relation to housing and interacting with the various properties, and when necessary adapt to any given client.
Salary Range: $65k+
Salary is dependent on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) experience, skills, and location.
