Collaborate with the IT Department team to maintain and support the company's technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, peripherals, to meet company and user requirements. Provide support to staff on company-supported applications. Troubleshoot computer problems and root cause analysis. Assist other IT Staff members in diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware/software. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies and procedures.
Network Administration
- Manage and maintain the organization’s internal network infrastructure, including physical and virtual systems.
- Configure and maintain datacenter network infrastructure and related technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve internal network infrastructure issues, identifying and implementing effective solutions.
- Install, configure, and manage network hardware (Dell, Ubiquiti, Fortinet), peripherals, and systems, including printers and scanners.
- Perform regular Vendor Assisted maintenance, upgrades, and backups of network hardware.
- Manage wireless infrastructure (Ubiquiti).
- Configure and oversee Network Access Control appliances and SEIM software, including weekly log reviews.
- Administer and maintain UCaaS VOIP systems.
- Research and recommend improvements to enhance network efficiency and security.
- Develop and maintain network documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Organize and manage spare equipment, replacement parts, software, and tools.
Server Administration
- Manage and maintain virtual server infrastructure within the datacenter remotely, with occasional hands on.
- Configure and manage Active Directory, including users, security groups, and distribution groups.
- Administer the Microsoft 365 infrastructure.
- Enforce stringent permissions-based access across all infrastructure.
- Maintain local, cloud, and disaster recovery backup solutions, coordinating with vendors as necessary.
- Conduct regular tests of backup services, document results, and update SOPs accordingly.
- Manage VMware-based virtual environments, ensuring timely updates to software, drivers, and hardware.
- Develop additional virtual infrastructure to meet organizational needs.
- Oversee network-based software and application installations and updates.
- Maintain and upgrade IT support-related software.
- Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive data processed, stored, or accessed across the network.
- Administer corporate endpoint protection solutions, including weekly log reviews.
- Collaborate with the IT Manager and Senior Network Engineer on infrastructure and technology needs.
Helpdesk Support Administration
- Provide third-tier support to Helpdesk Technicians and the Helpdesk Supervisor.
- Document and update IT support cases:
- Record activity in the IT Ticketing System.
- Update asset information within the system.
- Escalate issues to vendors or subcontractors and monitor progress.
- Report and discuss cases with the IT Manager as needed.
Act as a technical resource for staff across all departments.Configure and maintain the cloud-based IT Ticketing System.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or 8+ years’ experience in information technology field.
- Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical personnel.
- Ability to install, configure and maintain personal computers, Virtual Systems, Networks and related hardware and software.
- Must have working knowledge of Network Protocols, MS Server Software, SSH/Telnet, PowerShell scripting, and Linux, among other software tools needed for daily use.
- Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.
- Ability to identify and resolve computer system malfunctions and operations problems.
- Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.

- Ability to provide self with a safe work environment when working with various software and information technology equipment;
- Ability to understand safety parameters surrounding electrical and circuit boards when working with or around servers
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to hear and speak clearly with professional standard grammar.
- Must be able to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., must have dexterity of fingers (or mechanical substitutions).
