About This Opportunity
We are seeking an Outreach Engineer - Technical Customer Advocate. The TCA is responsible for delivery of utility-funded program offerings to industrial customers. They act as the single point of contact for coordinating our client’s program offerings and resources, represent the programs to commercial and industrial end users, and facilitate the development and implementation of energy saving projects. The TCA is a facilitator between the customer, contractor or vendor, Energy Efficiency Service Provider (EESP), and our client, with a focus on integrating the client’s programs and resources with the customer’s existing goals.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Providing project oversight through the implementation, measurement, and verification periods to ensure on-time deliverables that meet the client's quality guidelines
- Managing multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced consulting environment, using strong analytical skills and moving quickly from the big picture to the details
- Identifying, promoting, and developing energy efficiency projects to fill the clients' pipelines to ensure the programs continue to meet or exceed their energy savings goals
- Developing and cultivating strong, long-term, professional relationships with key end users and other stakeholders
- Acting as the single point of contact to facilitate excellent communication between client end users, vendors, and other program staff for all projects in the service territory
- Performing site visits, high-level facility scoping, and scoping level analysis of relevant energy project opportunities in commercial and industrial facilities
- Participating in project tracking, including M&V planning, and baseline data analysis
This is a full-time, exempt position to be located in the Chicago, IL area to facilitate travel to local industrial and commercial customers on a regular basis. We would be open to qualified candidates in the broader northern Illinois region as well.
Qualifications
Applicants for this role are required to have:
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Project management experience, preferably in energy efficiency or related industry
- 4+ years of experience in energy efficiency, commercial and/or industrial environments, project management or program delivery
- Ability to complete scoping level calculations for energy saving projects (technical experience)
- Experience working with and in industrial facilities is highly preferred, along with a solid understanding of general industrial technologies
- Experience with project tracking, including M&V planning and baseline data analysis

Compensation & Benefits
Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. The salary range for this position in Chicago, IL encompasses Level I – Level II as we are open to either level for the right candidate. Level I range: $65,995 - $81,270 and Level II range: $81,270 - $101,640. However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences.
