Our Opportunity
GPJ is looking for a Producer to join our growing team!
This role is hybrid, requiring you to report on-site to either our San Francisco or Los Angeles office location a minimum of 2 days per week.
Your Role
You make sure that the more complex projects run smoothly in terms of both timeline and budget. This might involve a mix of live and digital elements, creative aspects, and the ability to be flexible with timelines and budgets.
You work closely with different teams to develop flawless concepts, ensuring a seamless collaboration. Keeping an eye on the project's profitability and ensuring our clients are satisfied are also important aspects of your role.
Maintaining a strong relationship with the client is crucial, and you take on the role of their key advocate. You keep the Account Lead updated regularly and don't hesitate to bring up any issues or concerns, working together to find solutions.
You're proactive in identifying potential project risks and coming up with plans to mitigate them. You also provide insights regarding event staffing and resourcing, working alongside Department Managers and EP leaders.
Managing relationships with key vendors is also part of your responsibilities. This involves effective communication, overseeing the vendor RFP process if necessary, and addressing any issues that arise.
You ensure that the closing and reconciliation process is smoothly executed for the overall event. Sometimes, you might even oversee and provide guidance to Associate/Event Managers. You're well-versed in all of GPJ's workflow processes and make sure that we operate within those guidelines.
Your Skills
- Basic awareness of GPJ and Project agency offerings
- Expert knowledge of end-to-end GPJ Event Production and project processes, with ability to train others
- Experience with increasingly complex projects and events
- Event experience: has managed or supported any budget - Experience leading events with $2m+ budget; will vary for automotive, tech
- Event attendance – has worked on an event with any number or attendees. E.g., Experience leading events with 2500+ attendees
- Experience working with Fortune 1000 brands desired
- Builds budgets/estimates (entire event); manages/reconciles budget (entire event / major component); directs / guides others to build, manage and reconcile budgets; providing oversight / accountability
- Understands and effectively manages and oversees key financial metrics (across workstreams)
- Understands and takes key steps to address impact of changes on project budget and financial metrics
- Able to proactively identify and elevate potential budget / financial issues, taking actions to address
- Understands and effectively manages / oversees key PO, reconciliation and invoicing processes
- Has ability to negotiate and identify SCORE; oversee and drive event team SCORE results
- Ability to understand on-site methodology, practices and requirements, as well as show and venue rules and regulations (if applicable)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software including PPT, Word, Excel, Outlook. Previous experience with ERP, Project Management software, or similar tool is preferred.

Your Experience
Experience & Education
- 8+ years of relevant experience in event production, live production, integrated production, account management, project management or similar
- 4 Year College Degree; preferred in Marketing/Advertising/Event Management/Business Administration, Hospitality, Communications, or related field
Travel & Mobility
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to work irregular hours in addition to normal business hours, to include nights, weekends and holidays as needed

Salary Range: $80k+
Salary is dependent on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) experience, skills, and location.
