JOB SUMMARY

Join our growing engineering team as an Engineering Associate I at Ohio Valley Electrical Services. This entry level position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a fresh, dynamic department with significant potential for

As an Engineering Associate I, you will provide vital support across our four key service areas: Design-Build Engineering, Arc Flash & Breaker Coordination, BIM Coordination, and Engineering Consulting. This role is perfect for those looking to kickstart their career in a versatile engineering environment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist in drafting and design work for electrical engineering projects, including commercial and industrial

installations.

2. Assist in performing basic engineering calculations and analysis to support design decisions and project

requirements.

3. Contribute to BIM coordination efforts, helping to ensure accurate and efficient project layouts.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field. Bachelor’s degree in

Electrical Engineering or related field is a plus.

• Experience: 0-2 years of related experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Certifications: Certification in AutoCAD, Revit, or other related design software is desirable but not

required.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks and other relevant design software

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and engineering principles

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies

• Adaptability to work on multiple projects and shift priorities as needed

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience
