Payroll Specialist

Location: Tacoma / On-site
Salary Range: $58,240 - $70,720 DOE

About the Role

As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining confidentiality and upholding the highest standards of integrity. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Overview of the Payroll Specialist role:

Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll with precision and efficiency.
Assist in ensuring payroll transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Prepare and run payroll reports to support compliance and internal decision-making.
Participate in special projects to improve payroll systems and processes.

Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education preferred.
2+ years of payroll or related experience.
Prior experience with payroll software is a plus and proficiency with Excel (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs).
Strong organizational skills, honesty, and attention to detail.
Self-motivated, quick learner, and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality.
