This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Regulatory Compliance in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, state regulations, and state and local statutes at all campuses. The Regulatory Compliance Specialist is responsible for the preparation and submission of regulatory correspondence, applications, and other correspondence concerning regulatory matters. This position leads regulatory projects and collaborates with the field Compliance team, Compliance staff, and various levels of management. In this position, one works on multiple completing projects affiliated with regulatory approvals, institutional licensing, and a number of regulatory projects. This position requires knowledge of accreditation and state requirements and processes. The position involves drafting, document merging and formatting, revision, and finalization of submissions, including applications, responses, self-studies, student and agency complaints, and notifications. The position coordinates with Compliance Officers and Regional Regulatory colleagues and the field to ensure complete and accurate submissions.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
•Manage state and accreditation deliverables and ensures all communication is delivered with a high degree of quality professionalism and accuracy.
•Timely completion and management of regulatory reports, responses, licensure/accreditation and other regulatory applications and other correspondence for submission to state and accrediting bodies.
•Participates in dissemination of information regarding local, state, national, accreditation and regulatory requirements.
•Accountable for providing regulatory guidance to constituents, including staff and management.

Work collaboratively with Compliance Officers and Regional Regulatory Compliance colleagues to ensure all formal communication meets compliance and regulatory requirements.
•Develops and maintains positive rapport with accreditation agencies and other applicable state/local regulators as directed.
•Obtains and maintains a complete and updated licensing/accreditation record for each program and campus and coordinates the reconciliation of any approval issues and/or problems; ensure official documents maintained in the appropriate repository.
•Identify changes in applicable State statutes/regulations and accreditation standards that affect business processes.
•Apply and suggest necessary modifications to policies, procedures, and internal communications such as catalogs, websites, and marketing materials in conjunction with feedback from the corporate management team and the field.
•Focuses on tactical issues in complying with existing standards and regulations.
•Develop & maintain competence in the area of compliance to ensure relevant knowledge
•Conduct training and presentations to campuses and staff.
•Maintains professional appearance and demeanor for position and serves as a role model, leader and mentor to the campus community
•Assist with all projects assigned.

Qualifications

•College Degree (Bachelor or higher preferred)
•At least 3+ years of experience working in Higher Education and familiarity with state/accreditation standards and working with various levels of management.
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs (emphasis on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)and Adobe Acrobat
•Collaborate and manage projects with accuracy and ability to multitask and fulfill projects with competing deadlines.
•Read, analyze, and interpret regulations, guidelines, and standards, as well as policies and procedures.
•Poses excellent customer service, oral and written communication and presentation skills.
•Must be a self-motivated and results-oriented individual with strong time management and project delivery skills
•Ability & willingness to travel as required to perform effective oversight of job requirements.
