Miami, FL is looking for Structural Bridge Design Engineers with experience in Bridge Design

As a Structural Bridge Design Engineer with Modjeski and Masters, you will work on a variety of challenging and rewarding bridge engineering projects for a myriad of transportation clients. As a member of our team, you'll be immediately responsible for performing engineering tasks under the careful supervision of established and respected professionals. Position Available:

Entry Level (0-4 years related experience)
Mid-Level Engineer (4+ related years of experience)
Senior Project Manager / Roadway Engineer (10+ years of experience)

Requirements

A minimum of a BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
For mid-level positions - MS preferred, in Civil or Structural Engineering
For senior level positions - Registered Professional Engineer or eligible to sit for PE within 6 months

Ideal Candidates will have:

At minimum a BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University
Entry Level Positions
- Ideal Candidate will have passed the FE and have a valid EIT (or within 6 months of obtaining)
For Mid-Level Positions
- Ideal Candidates will be within 6 months of obtaining a valid PE license
For Senior Level positions
- Ideal candidates will have a valid Professional Engineering License (PE)

General Responsibilities of a Structural Bridge Design Engineer:

Review and check standard structural design calculations.
Perform structural analysis and design of standard bridge components using analysis software.
Develop preliminary details using CAD software and provide information to CAD technicians for development of contract plans.
Provide information for design reports.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including field inspections and construction serviceassignments.
Communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
Prepare project-related documents and internal correspondence.
Perform and check quantity take-offs from contract plans.
Review and check drawings.
Use engineering analysis software such as LUSAS, RISA-3D, LEAP Bridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation etc.
Able to learn and correctly apply relevant design specifications, including: AASHTO, AREMA, AISC, ACI, etc.
Senior Engineer Positions ONLY
- Will take on leadership roles and will be responsible for the delivery of projects, will assist Projects Managers in identifying issues and developing solutions. Senior Engineers will also serve as technical leads on complex projects.
