We are looking for a talented Structural Engineering professional to assist with the growth and leadership of our Structural Engineering team in Missouri. The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with extensive structural engineering and project management experience working on DOT and/or local agency transportation design projects. Lochmueller Group is a regional engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure. We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our Structures team focuses on the design, analysis, and inspection of man-made structures such as buildings and bridges with the primary goal of ensuring the integrity, safety, and functionality of our built environment.

In this position, the candidate will:

Play a key role in the growth, leadership, and development of the Missouri Structural team.
Establish and maintain relationships with DOT and local agency clients, assisting with business development for the Structural Engineering service line.
Apply extensive knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of bridge and transportation structures design.
Perform as a project manager on DOT and local agency bridge design projects.
Work on major projects or several major projects of moderate scope with complex features.
Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
Assist senior management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
Prepare proposals and funding applications.
As opportunities present themselves this role may also be involved in other various projects and responsibilities.

Qualifications for this role:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering; Structural emphasis is helpful
Professional Engineer (PE)
12+ years of Structural Engineering experience with an emphasis on bridge design projects
Experience with project management and accounting software
Exceptional organization skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work individually or as part of a team
