Room & Board has an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst (Human Resources & Marketing) on our Business Systems team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our HR, Marketing, and business leaders to understand evolving needs and ensure we are leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, elevate the staff‑member experience, and strengthen our brand. You’ll shape solutions that are stable and scalable today while also contributing to longer‑term planning and future‑state process improvements.
This role uniquely combines strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery. You’ll lead the planning and prioritization of a technology portfolio while also driving the day‑to‑day work required to ensure successful execution. You will be looked to as both a partner in defining what we should be building next and the person who helps bring those solutions to life.

You will share your talents as a Business Analyst (HR & Marketing) in the following ways:
Business Analysis & Solution Delivery:
Serve as the primary liaison between HR, Marketing, and IT to plan, coordinate, and deliver small‑ to medium‑sized initiatives.
Support and maintain key third‑party applications (UKG Pro, iCIMS, Cylindo, MediaBeacon), ensuring accuracy, reliability, and an excellent user experience.
Evaluate vendor roadmaps and industry trends to anticipate needs and advocate for enhancements aligned with long‑term strategies.
Drive continuous improvement using Agile practices, VOC insights, and data‑informed recommendations.
Lead all phases of the application lifecycle—requirements, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and training.
Develop and execute test plans to validate solution quality and functional fit.
Document business processes, workflows, system configurations, and SOPs to support clarity and operational consistency.
Portfolio & Project Management:
- Maintain and communicate a prioritized roadmap of HR and Marketing technology initiatives, balancing strategic goals with day‑to‑day demands.
- Lead projects end‑to‑end, including scope definition, planning, timelines, budgeting, risk management, communication, and training.
- Facilitate cross‑functional workshops to clarify objectives, align stakeholders, and support decision‑making.
- Build and manage vendor relationships by setting expectations, monitoring SLAs, and staying ahead of upcoming enhancements.
- Partner across IT and business teams to manage dependencies, coordinate schedules, and ensure successful, timely delivery.
- Research, track, and resolve production incidents, ensuring prompt and thorough follow‑through.
You will bring the following experiences & qualifications as a Business Analyst (HR & Marketing):
- 4-6 years of business analysis experience (or related field), with exposure to business process modeling, mapping, and continuous‑improvement practices.
- Experience supporting HR Information Systems (UKG Pro, iCIMS preferred) with a strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and the impact of system changes on the user experience.
- 1–3 years of project or portfolio management experience, including the ability to manage concurrent initiatives, coordinate timelines, and drive work forward independently.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills, with consistent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders and build trusted relationships across business and technical teams.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and stay current on emerging trends.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common project/product management tools, with the ability to provide proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States upon hire.
