About being our GIS/Graphics Specialist

The GIS/Graphics Specialist is highly proficient in the preparation of cartographic and analytical materials that support existing and future cultural resources projects. This is a temporary, part-time role averaging approximately 10 hours per week.

Responsibility Highlights for our GIS/Graphics Specialist

Conduct simple to complex spatial analyses using both vector and raster data to provide insights into cultural resources project tasks
Responsible for the design and management of project GIS databases, including compiling and organizing geographic information to support specific GIS project tasks
Design and configure mobile data collection workflows using Esri specific applications
Coordinate project data creation, maintenance, and analysis
Create cultural resources-specific graphics to support technical reports and analysis

Minimum Qualifications to be our GIS/Graphics Specialist

Bachelor's degree, from an accredited college or university, with major coursework in GIS, geography, urban or regional planning, environmental studies, or related field
3+ years of experience working as a GIS technician or analyst
Possess a strong cartographic background, with experience in database design and management and GPS survey equipment
Proficient in the use of Esri GIS software and extensions, including ArcGIS Online associated applications
Experience configuring Esri mobile data collection applications (e.g., ArcGIS Collector/Field Maps, Survey123, QuickCapture) to meet a wide variety of project field data collection needs
Extensive experience in data acquisition, data management, data analysis, data models, and data editing
Proficiency in the use of graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop

Preferred Qualifications for our GIS/Graphics Specialist

3+ years of experience doing GIS/Graphics for Cultural Resources Projects

A competitive salary! The genuinely expected range for this position is $45.00 - $51.66/hour depending on experience
