Rotochopper is seeking a Mechatronics Engineering Intern currently pursuing a bachelor's degree to support the design, development, and improvement of industrial grinding and material processing equipment. This internship provides hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment and exposure to real-world electro-mechanical systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the design, integration, and testing of mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electro-mechanical and automation systems
- Assist in developing and maintaining electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Support PLCs, sensors, actuators, motors, and control systems under guidance of senior employees
- Analyze test data and assist with design recommendations
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and service teams
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled as a junior or senior pursuing a degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar preferred)
- Basic knowledge of automation, controls, sensors, and electrical systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Coursework or experience with PLCs, robotics, or industrial automation
- Exposure to manufacturing processes or heavy equipment
- Experience with technical documentation or engineering labs
