Job Summary:

The Inside Sales Engineer engages customers through digital and remote channels to achieve sales targets while serving as their primary point of contact. This role manages end‑to‑end pre- and post‑sales support, develops account strategies, and builds strong customer relationships without requiring regular face‑to‑face interaction. By understanding customer needs and collaborating with internal experts and Industry Leaders, the Inside Sales Engineer aligns Emerson’s solutions to deliver value and support customer objectives.
In this role, your responsibilities will be:
- Accountable for achieving order targets for CSS within the PSS segments like Lifecycle Services (LCS), Energy Transportation System (ETS) and Guardian Software Systems (GSS) through virtual and remote customer engagement.
- Owning segment booking forecasts and consistently delivering monthly order commitments.
- Identifying, developing, and converting new and existing opportunities, including MRO/LCS, through proactive outreach and timely follow‑ups.
- Engaging customers through digital channels (chat, e‑commerce, Teams, phone) to support product selection, applications, quotations, and order placement.
- Managing the full proposal cycle by reviewing RFQs, preparing accurate quotations, and driving quote‑to‑order conversion.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records to strengthen pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy, and account insights.
- Staying updated on product changes and leverage insights to identify MRO and recurring‑revenue growth opportunities.
- Collaborating with Marketing and Sales Enablement to execute effective sales strategies and best practices.
- Driving targeted MRO initiatives using tools such as the Emerson Enterprise Engineering Tool (EET) to support PO conversion.
- Building strong, trust‑based customer relationships and monitoring competitor activity to reinforce Emerson’s competitive position.
- Managing multiple priorities effectively while delivering high‑quality sales activities, proposal execution, and professional customer communication, including maintaining a brand‑aligned social media presence.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- BS/MS in Marketing, Technology, Computer Engineering, or any related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling technology solutions and engaging customers through digital platforms, including e‑commerce and structured outreach (calls, emails, social engagement).
- Strong commercial acumen with knowledge of sales processes, lead qualification, contract basics, and negotiation/closing in competitive environments.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and manage differing viewpoints professionally.
- Familiarity with B2B/B2C digital sales environments and proficiency in using CRM or related digital sales tools.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms such as Mailchimp and HubSpot.
- Working knowledge of digital marketing concepts, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), social media marketing, display advertising, and content marketing.
