Accounts Payable Manager

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing multi-location media and marketing organization, is seeking a Accounts Payable Manager to lead their AP function during a transition period. This is a highly visible role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of the accounts payable process while supporting a distributed team and collaborating with internal stakeholders.

This position is ideal for a hands-on AP leader who enjoys optimizing processes, mentoring team members, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal departments. The role will focus on overseeing daily AP operations, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable Manager

Manage and oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, including invoice entry, payment processing, and payment runs.
Review and approve monthly corporate credit card expenses and funding requirements.
Oversee vendor management processes including 1099 reporting, banking information maintenance, and unclaimed property compliance.
Ensure critical vendors are paid accurately and on time through reporting and reconciliations.
Serve as a key liaison between Accounts Payable, corporate accounting, and external vendors.
Monitor workloads and workflows to ensure AP activities are completed accurately and on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications: Accounts Payable Manager

Prior Accounts Payable leadership or management experience.
Experience managing or supporting remote or distributed teams.
Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with vendors and internal teams.
