This role serves as the primary lead for facility infrastructure and systems maintenance, combining hands-on technical work with system ownership, vendor coordination, and internal customer support. This is a facility-focused, in-house role (not construction) that ensures operational uptime, regulatory compliance, and responsive service across manufacturing, office, and support environments. Essential Functions Lead and perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility systems and infrastructure Serve as technical owner for building maintenance systems, lighting, and electrical distribution Provide support for CNC and production-related systems in partnership with Operations and Maintenance Maintain and coordinate fire alarm systems, including inspections, testing, and compliance activities Support and troubleshoot Building Management Systems (BMS), including alarms, controls, and integrations Maintain and support card access and facility security systems. Execute, document, and continuously improve preventive maintenance activities using the company CMMS Support HVAC systems from an electrical and controls perspective in coordination with HVAC technicians and vendors Coordinate and oversee external contractors and vendors performing electrical or system-related work Act as the primary point of contact during system upgrades, shutdowns, and facility projects Build strong internal customer relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, and technical guidance Provide informal leadership and technical mentoring to facilities and maintenance staff Lead the implementation of new equipment and facility infrastructure, coordinating all necessary facility requirements, site preparation, and installation activities Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety standards (OSHA, NFPA 70/70E) Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across electrical, low-voltage, and control systems Working knowledge of BMS, fire alarm, access control, and lighting control systems Ability to interpret electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation Experience supporting electrically driven manufacturing or CNC equipment Proficiency with CMMS or preventive maintenance systems Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and respond effectively to urgent issues Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders Ability to lead through influence rather than direct authority Required Qualifications Must be a US Person (US Citizen, person granted US Permanent Resident Card or any individual who is granted status as a "protected person”) Valid Electrician License (State of Iowa or reciprocal) Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical work within industrial or facilities environments Demonstrated experience working independently with limited supervision Experience supporting operational facilities with minimal downtime tolerance Ability to safely perform hands-on electrical work in active facility environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) Fire alarm system experience, including inspections and vendor coordination Experience with card access or security electrical systems Manufacturing or CNC equipment electrical support experience CMMS implementation or optimization experience Prior experience acting as a technical lead or system owner Higher weight will be put on candidate’s who demonstrate the desire and ability to lead a team and department as this role is a succession plan for leadership scope of work Working Conditions Work is performed primarily on-site in manufacturing, office, and industrial facility environments Exposure to electrical panels, mechanical rooms, and production equipment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces Occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency work may be required Participation in an on-call rotation as needed EEO Statement Crystal Group, Inc, maintains a program of equal employment opportunity designed to ensure that employment and advancement opportunities are made available to all employees and applicants on the basis of individual qualifications and without regard to race, religion, color, creed, national origin, disability, age, sex, genetic information, military status, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local laws.
