This position plays a key role in supporting employees throughout their employment while ensuring HR processes are accurate, timely, and compliant.

Primary Responsibilities

Assist with recruiting, interviewing coordination, and onboarding new employees.
Prepare new hire paperwork and maintain employee personnel files.
Process employment changes, terminations, and HR documentation.
Assist with benefits enrollment and answer employee questions regarding benefits and company policies.
Maintain HRIS and employee records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Support payroll by tracking employee information and resolving discrepancies.
Coordinate pre-employment screenings, background checks, and drug testing.
Assist with I-9 and E-Verify compliance.
Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Support training, employee recognition, and other HR initiatives.
Provide exceptional customer service to employees, supervisors, and managers.
Perform other administrative and HR duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

High attention to detail.
Ability to maintain discretion, integrity, confidentiality, and present self in a professional manner at all times.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of employees, company vendors/suppliers and general public.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Strong analytical skills to analyze the skills, knowledge, and experience of applicants
Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn the company’s HRIS Systems, particularly VISTA is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience

Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
2+ years working in the human resources field.
Construction, manufacturing, or other multi-location workforce experiences is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk.
Able to work from a computer screen.
Occasional walking and standing.
Use of hands with controlled finger dexterity.
Able to hear, speak and see.
Able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Job Recruitment Information
Applicant must pass a background and credit check with no felonies that are violent in nature and/or theft related in the last 7 years.
Applicant must have reliable transportation to and from work each day.
