The Revit Family Creation role performs complex technical support and manual tasks. The role requires well-developed skills, either through formal training or on-the-job experience. This role will create and manage digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places, buildings, and structures using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. This role operates with limited supervision and shows a high degree of independent judgment and initiative. There is a limited decision-making scope given the responsibilities assigned.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex technical support or production/manual tasks.
- Develop Building Information Modeling (BIM) execution plans.
- Enforce standards management on projects.
- Conduct BIM coordination meetings.
- Organize drawing sets and coordinating sheet index management.
- Develop discipline models and managing shared coordinates.
- Create detailed 3D models using BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to gather all necessary information to create accurate models.
- Update and modify models as per revised plans and specifications.
- Generate and extract 2D drawings and details from the 3D models for construction documentation.
- Coordinate existing condition/ LiDAR model.
- Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
Mentorship
- May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in BIM software and execution plan development.
- Skilled in enforcing project standards and managing shared coordinates.
- Skilled in conducting BIM coordination meetings and managing discipline model setup.
- Strong capability with organizing drawing sets and coordinating existing condition/Lidar models.
- Ability to effectively organize drawing sets and manage sheet indexes.
- Strong familiarity and understanding of shared coordinates system and existing condition/LiDAR model coordination.
- Strong ability in utilizing software applications such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced ability to perform data modeling and utilize visualization tools effectively.
- Strong understanding of building systems, design principles, and construction workflows.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for giving presentations and writing technical documents.
- Advanced proficiency in complex BIM tasks and contributing to project outcomes.
- Strong proficiency in developing BIM Execution Plans.
Experience
- Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of building information modeling, construction, architecture, or other related professional experience.
Education
- An associate’s degree in drafting & design, architecture technologies, civil technologies, construction management technologies, or other closely related field or equivalent experience is required.

Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location A: $30.70 - $41.90
Location B: $34.10 - $46.20
