Epsilon C5I (www.epsilonsystems.com/c5i), focused on software development and systems engineering for complex command, control, intelligence and combat systems, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineering SME with a minimum of 5 years’ experience for work in San Diego, CA. Our engineering efforts provide the warfighter with tools to support critical support to operational missions to improve targeting capabilities. Duties And Responsibilities

Plan, implement, upgrade, and/or monitor cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.
Assess cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and propose and implement remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
Ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure.
Respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with a concentration in computer science or equivalent.
A minimum of DoD Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification or eligibility is required for this position.
Five (5) years of notable experience preparing, implementing, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity policy, to include Assessment and Authorization requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills, telephone etiquette, and professional demeanor.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Effective team player with highly proficient customer service skills.
Flexible and able to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Candidate must have an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI access.
Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Linux+
AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification or Equivalent

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is $135,000-185,000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

ADA Notations

Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, and may occasionally lift and move at least 25 pounds.
Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required.
