Payroll Manager

Creative Financial Staffing is working with a well-established service company located north of Boston to help them find an experienced Payroll Manager. The ideal candidate must have experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll.

The Position: The Payroll Manager will take full ownership of the payroll function, managing weekly payroll for both union and non-union employees.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain all payroll records, including salaries, hourly wages, corporate benefits, and adjustments.
Process weekly payroll for approximately 400 union and non-union employees.
Handle payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, raises, and system upgrades, and communicate these changes across the company.
Oversee the timekeeping and payroll systems to ensure accuracy.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll policies and regulations.
Handle certified payroll reporting, union, and prevailing wage calculations on a weekly basis.

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience.
Strong experience with union payroll processing is a must.
In-depth knowledge of wage laws, tax regulations, employee benefits administration, garnishments, and reporting requirements.
Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and union group reporting and payments.
Ability to work independently and manage the payroll process with minimal supervision.
Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong self-motivation.
