About being our Plumbing Inspector

As our Plumbing Inspector, you will join the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) project team of 40+ planners, architects, engineers, and other technical professionals to plan & design their next wave of capital investments, including airfield improvements, terminal improvements, infrastructure improvements, and more.

Responsibility Highlights for our Plumbing Inspector

Document daily progress of work, prepare monthly progress payment request, track various changes, verify time and material work, measures and documents job quantities.

Minimum Qualifications to be our Plumbing Inspector

High school diploma or GED
3+ years' experience performing plumbing inspections
General understanding of plumbing systems including domestic water and sewage systems and thorough knowledge of fire sprinkler pipe installations.
Documentation and information retrieval may require computer literacy skills.
knowledge of the materials and methods used in the installation of plumbing installations
Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Plumbing Inspector
Possess a thorough 30-hour Cal- OSHA training prior to assignment. (The 30-hour training will have been received within the last 4 years.)

Competitive compensation (Prevailing Wage for Southern California is $60.96/hour General prevailing wage determination made by the Director of Industrial Relations pursuant to California Labor Code part 7, chapter 1, article 2, sections 1770, 1773 and 1773.1 for commercial building, highway, heavy construction and dredging projects.)
