Summary Of Responsibilities
As the Investor Relations Manager and member of our Real Estate team, you play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with current and prospective investors. The role requires a deep understanding of Al. Neyer’s investment strategies, excellent communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality marketing and fundraising materials. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management to support fundraising efforts, cultivate investor relationships and manage the flow of information between the company and its investors.
Essential Job Functions
- Create and refine marketing and fundraising materials, including pitch books, investment teasers, due diligence questionnaires, offering memorandums, case studies, and quarterly reports.
- Ensure consistency and quality in communications across all investor touchpoints.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and enhance investor presentations, quarterly meeting materials, and other ad hoc content.
- Monitor market conditions, industry news, and competitor activity to provide accurate reporting that keeps investors informed of relevant market trends and economic developments.
- While maintaining a high level of professionalism, engage with investors via inbound and outbound calls, emails, events, webinars, and other investor meetings.
- Contribute to ongoing outreach by answering investor inquiries, drafting tailored responses, and communicating investor sentiment to senior management.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective investors, facilitating investor presentations and coordinating capital roadshows. Cultivate relationships to stay current on their investment objectives and present new investment opportunities.
- Attend industry-sponsored conferences to attract and schedule meetings with potential investors.
- Maintain data integrity in the investor portal to ensure accurate and up to date investor information.
- Aid in negotiation of legal documentation with development and legal team to ensure investor requirements and compliance is achieved.
- Calculate and process investor distributions, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of payments. Maintain detailed records of investor distribution schedules and payout history.
- Prepare and distribute detailed reports to investors regarding their distributions, portfolio performance and any relevant financial updates. Serve as the primary point of contact for investors regarding distribution inquiries, addressing questions with clear and accurate information.
Position Requirements & Desirable Traits
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 3-to-5 years of experience in real estate, finance, or a related business function.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional sales and interpersonal skills
- Full understanding of real estate finance and underwriting concepts
- Strong presentation skills and ability to produce creative, compelling, detailed materials and information for existing and prospective investors
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments
- Superior communication skills with a demonstrated ability to write effectively
- Strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to learn
Safety Hazard of the Job
Normal safety hazards associated with office work, and with occasional observational visits to construction sites.
Physical Demands
The moderate physical effort required to sit, bend, stoop, lift, walk and climb. Maximum unassisted lift is 70 lbs. Average lift is less than 10 lbs. Requires ability to use a keyboard and monitor. Also requires the ability to communicate verbally, both in person and on the telephone. May require some travel by car/truck.
Environmental Requirements
Moderate to extreme outdoor conditions. Above average noise levels. Protective equipment is required. Average inside office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment is required. Ambient temperature is between 68F and 76F.
