Learning and Development Program Designer
Job Type: Full Time
Location: 10300 Linn Station Rd, Louisville, KY 40223
Designs and develops blended learning and development programs and highly engaging curricula in alignment with organizational goals and training needs. Consults with subject matter experts and organizational leaders to design course content and develop curriculum. Uses various methods to measure training outcomes and evaluate program success. Conducts assessment and analysis to identify new development needs and recommends training methods accordingly.
Owns select program processes from entry into the program with attendee nominations to program graduation with success metrics including potential facilitation, content creation, and industry-leading best practices in learning development. Some travel is required as needed to deliver, design, and develop programs both locally and nationally. Some overnight and weekend travel due to the nature of the event and may require flights and/or car transportation.

Responsibilities:
- Uses advanced leadership development expertise professional training, and
organizational-wide business objectives to determine needs, develop and deliver
content in areas of responsibility, and build processes, systems, and metrics to ensure
that the overall leadership development program, is effective - Develops and recommends methods and materials for developing team members and
refining new curriculum, ideas for group discussions/panels, demonstrations, and
workshops based upon industry-leading best practices and knowledge of the
organization along with curriculum supporting the development of well-rounded leader - Aids in the design of new engaging content to support technical and business
knowledge necessary to continuously improve business results and exceed
organizational goals while cultivating crucial relationships with internal partners and
continually building upon positive partnerships - Analyzes existing development program(s) delivery, content, and aids to measure
effectiveness and makes recommendations for program updates in objectives,
processes, timelines, content, metrics, and deliverables - Facilitate a suite of offerings to audiences varying from senior leadership to frontline
learners across all lines of business and audiences in both classroom-led workshops
and virtual instructor-led workshops to include: agenda setting, guidance, task
management, motivating learners, and managing the emotional culture of the group.
Frequently assesses the audience and adapts approaches to meet desired learning
outcomes and learner needs providing knowledge and skills transfer by delivering
learning content, facilitating group discussions, and responding to queries with positive
redirection as necessary. - Collaborates in the development and implementation of communication plans that
advertise, excite, and create engagement for leadership development programs
maximizing outcomes and driving a positive participant experience - Adapts tone, style, and structure of content to serve multiple levels of professional
experience within the organization - Intelligently leverage experts, previously existing materials, and other internal partners
to make excellent talent development materials on a wide range of topics to monitor
progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies for success - Manages vendor relationships and content owning the creation of collaborative design
developing creative, learner-centered development programs, modules, and materials
in multiple modalities, including interactive eLearning modules, videos, hands-on job
aides, and resource materials
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s in Adult Learning or Instructional Design/Technology or similar relevant
field competencies (Preferred) - Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly generate high quality learning
content and materials (e.g. G-suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Publisher, Adobe
Suite, Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, and Camtasia including Sound/Video editing),
Prior experience working with a Learning Management System, Content
Management System, Learning Experience Platform, Virtual Classroom
Environments, and OnDemand Content Libraries - Minimum 3+ years experience, advanced knowledge, and expertise with varied
learning technologies and practices for “flipped classroom”. Change management
experience and highly effective communication skills. Experience in providing
needs assessment, gap analysis, and defining success metrics. - 5+ years of experience in creating and facilitating leadership programs and/or
course development. Leadership experience in working with individuals and
teams. (Preferred) - Experience in administrative roles in an LMS is a plus.(Preferred)
Desirables:
- Master’s in Adult Learning or Instructional Design/Technology or similar relevant
field competencies preferred - ATD Certification(s) preferred
- Experience in creating and facilitating leadership programs and/or microlearning
course development. Leadership experience in working with individuals and
teams.
