We are seeking a Program Outreach Manager
The Program Outreach Manager will lead a dynamic team responsible for promoting and driving participation in demand-side management programs for utility customers nationwide. This role blends strategic sales and marketing expertise with knowledge of energy efficiency programs to develop and execute outreach strategies that achieve participation goals for various utility programs. With a focus on adaptability, the Manager will support a diverse portfolio of programs as their requirements evolve, leveraging lessons learned across regions and programs to optimize results. The Manager will work closely with utility clients and internal teams to ensure outreach efforts align with program requirements and deliver high-impact engagement.

What You Will Be Doing:

- Team Building & Leadership: Build, lead, mentor and manage the outreach and marketing team, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting individual growth.
- Outreach Strategy: Focusing on the Operations and Delivery Teams’ Program Managers’ objectives and goals, develop and implement outreach strategies focused on customer acquisition, engagement, and program participation. Use a blended marketing and sales approach to identify and capture new opportunities for program growth.
- Multi-Program Support and Adaptability: Adapt outreach efforts to meet the unique needs of a wide range of programs, as well as Corporate Direct Teams, proactively responding to shifts in program priorities, goals, and target audiences.
- Resource Management and Budgeting: Allocate outreach resources effectively across multiple programs and regions to maximize impact and ROI and satisfy internal customers (Operations and Delivery Teams).
- National Focus and Best Practices: Leverage insights and lessons learned from programs across different regions, applying best practices and proven tactics to enhance results for all utility partners. Conduct national vendor and participant outreach at the corporate headquarter level.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage closely with utility clients, cross-functional teams, and external partners to align on outreach priorities, pipeline and savings goals, and campaign strategies.
- Customer Engagement and Relationship Building: Develop outreach efforts that resonate with commercial and industrial customers, cultivating strong relationships to drive long-term program participation.
- Outreach Analytics and Performance Optimization: Lead development and monitor outreach performance metrics and savings pipeline data to optimize strategies, ensuring that outreach activities directly support participation goals.
- Marketing: Leverage marketing department resources to conduct market research and segmentation, build advertising campaigns, leverage digital and content marketing, graphic design and other marketing efforts in support of overall program recruitment efforts.
- Events and Affiliations: Build and execute, with the support of the marketing team, a multi-program approach to events and affiliations to build brand awareness, utility program awareness and savings and participant pipelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Collect feedback and insights from customers and program participants to refine outreach strategies, ensuring continuous improvement of the outreach process.
This is a full-time, exempt position with a preference for location in Pacific, Mountain, or Central time zone. Travel to conferences, client meetings, and team gatherings will be required for this role. Estimated at 25%, may fluctuate depending on activities.
Qualifications
Applicants for this role are required to have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Engineering, Marketing, or related field of study or relevant experience.
- Experience: ~7 years of sales, outreach experience, or marketing, preferably in the energy, utilities, or environmental sectors.
- Leadership: 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role with demonstrated experience leading outreach and/or sales teams.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with energy efficiency programs, demand-side management, or utility customer engagement, with an understanding of customer acquisition and retention strategies.
Compensation & Benefits
Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. The salary range for this position is $88,000 - $132,000 and willbe geographically adjusted based on hired individual’s location.However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
