As a Full‑Time Outlet Associate at Room & Board's Outlet, you will be part of a 6‑person full‑time team that leads the operational heartbeat of our 25,000 sq. ft. Outlet. You’ll support product flow, guide and train product handlers and casual staff, and help transform our space into a highly admired shopping destination for our loyal brand enthusiasts every weekend.
Location: 4600 Olson Memorial Highway, Golden Valley.
Schedule:
Work Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays
Days Off: Thursdays & Fridays, with one weekend off per month
Note: During the weeks surrounding your weekend off, you will be scheduled for two Thursday shifts.
What you’ll be responsible for as a Full-Time Outlet Associate:
Product Flow & Receiving
Staging, Assembly & Floor Preparation
Relocate, stage, and prepare products for the Outlet showroom
Support assembly, repairs, and tool‑based tasks
Finalize merchandising for Saturday’s opening, including tagging, cleaning, and organization
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient back‑of‑house environment
Team Support & Informal Leadership
Guide and support product handlers and casual staff in daily workflow
Jump in physically as needed to keep operations moving
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
Support team morale and model professionalism in communication and behavior
Operational Ownership
Conduct monthly facility and equipment checks
Identify issues and propose solutions with an “owner mindset”
Act as a safety leader for the team
Support SAP backroom functions and inventory‑related tasks
Contribute to operational improvements and process updates
Weekend Retail Support
During weekend shifts, assist customers and support the Outlet team
Help create a welcoming, efficient, and customer‑ready environment

The qualifications you’ll bring as a Full-Time Outlet Associate:
- 3+ years of experience in roles involving related skills and responsibilities
- Experience supporting or leading others in a team environment
- Strong communication skills and a professional, natural communication style
- Ability to lift 75–100 pounds independently throughout the day
- Ability to pass a physical abilities test related to the role
- Experience with Microsoft Office; comfort learning new systems (SAP experience a plus)
- Understanding of safe working habits and commitment to safety leadership
- Ability to provide proof of identity and legal work authorization upon hire
What we offer our Full-Time Outlet Associates:
- Salary: $53,000 - $58,000 / year ($25.48 - $27.88/ hour)Our salary is guaranteed with occasional paid overtime. Salary offered is based on experience/qualifications.
