Our summer internship program provides students with hands-on professional experience, networking opportunities, and access to SC&H fun while honing essential skills for early career success. For 10-weeks spanning June to August, our interns work on diverse client projects and receive guided mentorship in one of our many unique service lines. Our internship is in-person at one of our offices 4x a week with an average work week of 30-32 hours.

About our Tax Practice

With over three decades of combined senior-level experience, our unparalleled insights and national and international experience have positioned us as a leading tax firm in the Mid-Atlantic, serving a broad range of industries including but not limited to: construction, government contracting, investment funds, manufacturing and distribution, nonprofit, private equity, professional services, real estate, and technology and life services.

As a member of our Tax team, you will:

Work on income tax returns for local businesses you see around the Baltimore area.
Work on an entire income tax return from start to finish and not just a piece of a return.
Be part of a tax return team along with managers and partners.
Gain exposure to corporate, partnership and individual tax issues and compliance.
Be exposed to different entity types and industries.

Requirements:

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or other business-related field
GPA of 3.5 or above
Previous successful business experience; Public Accounting internship preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to produce an outstanding work product or deliverable
Reliable transportation to our Hunt Valley, MD location and client sites as needed

Salary & Benefits
The rate for this position is $30.00-$34.62 per hour. Salary offers are made based on a variety of candidate specific factors such as candidate's skills, performance, job responsibilities, prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications and market considerations. As a 100% employee-owned firm, SC&H offers the unique benefit of real equity ownership for every colleague with at least 1 year of service. Watch your stake grow as your tenure increases and the firm achieves success. We also offer a comprehensive health plan with multiple options to suit your needs, at least 4 weeks of paid time off, 8 firm-paid holidays, 401k with employer match, and an annual firm trip for you and a guest to an all-inclusive tropical location.
