This role offers the opportunity to drive measurable, sustainable cultural and systemic improvements in a growing manufacturing working environment. Reporting to the EH&S Director, this position is based in Richmond, CA. This is a hybrid-field role where you will split your time between our Fabrication Shop and various remote installation locations, ensuring safety standards are maintained from production to final installation.
Our culture thrives on professional development, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth within the organization. This is an exempt, salaried position with a pay range of $70,000-$85,000.

- Strategic Risk Reduction: Utilize data and advanced Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to diagnose and systematically solve underlying EHS risks, moving beyond compliance checklists.
- Industrial Hygiene Management: Coordinate and execute industrial hygiene monitoring programs (e.g., air sampling for silica/dust, noise dosimetry, and chemical exposure assessments) to ensure a healthy work environment in the shop and at installation sites.
- Sustainable Implementation: Develop and champion the implementation of long-term engineering controls and systematic process improvements over temporary administrative fixes.
- Program Standardization: Manage, own, and drive momentum for key EHS initiatives that have stalled, such as the prescription safety glass program or LOTO standardization.
- Operational Integration (Shop & Field): Partner with production supervisors and field operators to co-design EHS solutions that are practical, safe, and seamlessly integrated into both the fabrication shop workflow and remote installation sites.
What We Look For in You …
We are looking for someone who is Kind, Humble, and Analytical. You are excited to serve as a supportive partner to operations and drive measurable, systemic change and thrive in a collaborative and dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing & Field Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of dedicated EHS experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or field installation setting.
- Industrial Hygiene Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of industrial hygiene principles, including the ability to identify health hazards (biological, chemical, physical, and ergonomic), interpret sampling results, and recommend appropriate controls.
- Cultural Leader: Views EHS as a service function that enables production and possesses the interpersonal skills to lead with empathy and build cooperative relationships on the floor and in the field.
- Professional Maturity: Possesses the credibility and experience to negotiate conflicting priorities, knowing when to stand firm on compliance and when to collaborate for the best outcome.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in relevant EHS regulations (e.g., Cal/OSHA, NFPA, EPA) and proven success in implementing and managing core EHS programs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis methodologies (e.g., 5-Why, Fishbone), EHS management systems, and data analysis for trending incidents.
