Brown and Caldwell is seeking a Project Manager/Senior Project Manager with successful experience in Water/Wastewater project delivery to join the Texas team. In this role, you will work closely with our technical experts, project teams, and client service managers to advance our technical services and support business development on a wide variety of wastewater, drinking water and water resources projects in your local Texas market as well as state-wide.

Detailed Description:
In this role, you will utilize your expertise to manage and execute work on projects, help develop and sustain successful client relationships and provide support for marketing and proposals. Projects within the purview of this position will span from conceptual planning, across preliminary and final design, to construction phase support services for water, wastewater and related water resource facilities.
Strong communication skills are a must in this role as you will assist in the development and execution of strategies for effective facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and communication approaches that help advance our clients’ most critical private and public-sector needs. You will serve as a key connection between understanding client needs and the technical solutions BC can offer.
You will have the opportunity to take on more advanced roles and responsibilities as you develop your internal network and expand your abilities. We anticipate this role to include support for advancing BC’s Treatment Practice, Conveyance Infrastructure, and Strategic Communications practice.
Typical responsibilities will include:
• Develop scope, schedule and budget for design work orders.
• Utilize internal project management tools and resources to provide successful management of large projects that meet or exceed the project success metrics.
• Prepare technical reports and deliver presentations to clients and for professional meetings.
• Lead project delivery and execution of large projects. This will require management of multi-disciplinary teams and management of sub consultants.
• Interact with client, team leaders, internal staff and sub consultants to confirm work is progressing per schedule and budget and that all the required work is being developed to the appropriate level of completeness and quality.
• Manage and execute comprehensive planning, preliminary design and final design, special planning, economic, and engineering studies.
• Ensure the team is implementing BC’s quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) process.
• Lead or support strategic planning efforts that help our clients shape or revise their utility-wide objectives and connect them to capital planning decisions and implementation.
• Develop and execute communications plans that engage the public and other internal / external stakeholders, to support the delivery of large engineering projects from planning through construction.
• Conduct, aggregate, and interpret research on public perception, regulatory trends, funding resources, and a variety of issues to support our clients’ goals.
• Support client marketing and business development activities required to procure project assignments, including development of scope, schedule and budget for proposals.
• Mentor staff and lead development of other PMs.
• Participate in a fast-paced, highly-collaborative team atmosphere.
Desired Skills and Experience:
• B.S. degree required, in related engineering field (Mechanical, Civil, Environmental).
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively increasing responsibility in related experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or ability to obtain PE Registration within 6 months of hire.
• Demonstrated strong project management skills; PMP certification a plus.
• Successful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and public presentations experience a plus.
• Successful record of delivering projects on schedule, budget and meeting the client’s expectations. Ability to provide oversight and guidance of project management fundamentals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to conduct effective presentations and written report preparation.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location A:
Salary $141,000 - $193,000
Location B:
Salary $151,000- $212,000
