Additional Compensation Details:

$25.00 - $29.00 per hour Dependent on Experience and Location of Role
Potential 90-day performance-based raise
Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure

The Role

This role is essential to the success of the floral department by assisting with entering orders and administrative tasks. In addition this person will take customer calls and present the Charlie’s Produce standard of quality care that our reputation is built on. This role is also responsible for administrative tasks and other projects as assigned by the department manager. The right candidate will be able to work well together in a team setting for tasks like order allocations, but be also be able to work independantly and be self driven. The floral department works with a primary customer base of retail grocer’s and this person should be comfotable in conversing with these types of customers. The right person for this role will need to display a intelligent financial business acumen and posses excellent time management skills to balance adminstrave and customer service tasks. This is a corporate role and the person who fills it should be comfortable working with teams nationally and not exclusive to the Seattle market. Charlie’s Produce is a continuously developing business and we look for people who want to grow within our company long term.

Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To

Enter orders in a database including EDI order import, write credits, coordinate pickups
Phone/email order taking
Item updates activate and delete
Create stock transfers to other divisions
New customer setup
Staying abreast of market conditions and maintaining favorable relationships with customers and coworkers.
Create power point promotional fliers
Budgeting
Create price and present quarterly ad offers chains

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

Excellent punctuality and attendance is key to success.
Minimum 1-2 years of Customer Service Representative experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in the floral trade.
Be logically and analytically minded.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with GP and margins required.
Outstanding organizational skills – capable of handling many tasks at once while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a high level of productivity, organization, and communication tasks.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products with particular focus on PowerPoint and excel.
The ability to work a flexible schedule with minimal overtime when needed– this could include early mornings, weekends, and additional hours when needed.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Mass market floral experience preferred.
An understanding of floral terminology and trade standards.
Experience with warehousing, account management, or purchasing preferred.
Experience with Tableau or AS400 systems preferred.
