Parametrix is seeking a Traffic/Transportation engineer to support growth within our Transportation Group in our Southwest region (Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, and California). This position will join our Utah team and have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule, coming into the office for project and client collaboration. Who you are:
Dedicated: You have your bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or transportation engineering, transportation planning, or related field and 7+ years of demonstrated ability in the transportation and/or traffic engineering field. Your previous experience includes traffic operational analysis and transportation planning. In additional to furthering your technical skills, you are looking to assume more project management responsibilities and take a lead role in interfacing with clients. PE required and PTOE preferred. Must have previous experience in a variety of multi-modal transportation studies, including arterial and freeway traffic analysis, conceptual planning design, transit planning, and/or non-motorized planning.
Technically Focused: We are looking for a Traffic/Transportation Engineer who is interested in traffic operations modeling, data analysis, and conducting research related to multimodal transportation projects (transit, bicycles, and pedestrians). This position will apply software tools, such as Synchro, VISSIM and Sidra to support traffic operations modeling. The successful candidate should have the ability to work with large or complex data sets, develop strategies to analyze transportation systems, and effectively summarize and communicate data, analysis processes, and results. Software experience with transportation planning/traffic operations software (VISSIM and Synchro) and Microsoft Excel is required. Relationship Focused: Proactive communication and excellent writing skills will serve you well as you prepare reports, and technical memoranda. A strong ability to team and coordinate effectively while embodying a stellar client service ethic.
Detail & Analysis Oriented: Technical skills in traffic analysis and modeling with proven experience providing strong data analysis skills, solving technical problems, and having the ability to multitask and be extremely effective and organized.
Collaborator: Our existing team is versatile and can provide crucial support. Strong team alignment and the ability to successfully integrate and collaborate within the transportation planning group and across the company is a key to success at Parametrix.

Base salary for this position is in the range of $105,000-$140,000+ Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, location, and role. For all positions we conduct an equity review. Employee-owners are all eligible for performance-based bonuses based on key contributions. Salaries are reviewed at least once annually as part of our compensation program.
