This position be a key member of the DKS leadership team and will work closely with both local and cross-office teams to win and deliver work. They will manage and lead the delivery of transportation electrification projects, including the planning and/or design of fleet electrification, public charging infrastructure, transit electrification, workplace and residential charging, as well as the design of charging infrastructure installation. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge in multiple areas, such as:
- EVs (light, medium and heavy-duty)
- Fleet operations and planning
- EV charging hardware
- EV charging software including load management
- Electrical systems planning and design
- Bi-directional charging (Vehicle to grid integration)
- Resiliency & distributed energy resources
- Electric rate tariffs
- LCFS/Clean Fuels credits
- Applicable policies and regulations
- ther alternative fuels (H2, LNG, CNG, etc.)
- Financial incentives for EVs and EVSE including grants and rebates
What will you be doing?
- Managing electromobility projects of varying complexity including scope, schedule, budget, earned value analysis, staffing allocation, and accounts receivable
- Leading electromobility planning and/or design projects
- Overseeing the preparation of electromobility planning and design project efforts
- Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of final design plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for projects that may include fleet operations, EV charging hardware, electrical systems, bidirectional charging and more (preferred).
- Attending and leading client and project team meetings to provide project updates, resolve planning and design issues, and coordinate design elements with other disciplines
- Understand and educate others on applicable policies, regulations and funding opportunities such as grants and rebates.
- Building relationships with clients and teaming partners
- Mentoring junior staff in their professional growth and enhancing their skills
- Supporting the pursuit of new projects in partnership with our electromobility leadership team
- Pursuing additional professional growth opportunities in project management, business development, technical expertise, etc.

What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Planning, Environmental Studies, Data Science or similar field
- 10+ years of experience in the energy industry, utilities, electrical engineering, civil engineering, planning, automotive, transit, fleet management, technology or similar field
- Project management experience within the A/E industry
- Ability to immediately support business development by securing pursuits
- Strong research and data analysis skills
- Curiosity and eagerness to be an industry thought leader
- Understanding of electrical design related to AC and DC charging
- Working knowledge of industry practices and regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- GIS and/or data analysis skills

Salary Range:
Senior Project Manager/Principal: $199,900 - $257,200 per year
