Employment Status: Bench/Part-time (variable hours, less than 20 hours per week), hybrid/remote
Reports to: Design Director
Summary:
As a designer, you can take raw materials such as text, photos, illustrations, and logos and turn them into an effective, coherent, integrated whole. You can develop materials in multiple mediums: printed flyers and brochures, print and digital multimedia campaigns, and social media. You can work within existing branding/styles but may be asked to develop new looks as well. You can manage small- to medium-size projects with little supervision and create sophisticated design solutions for a variety of clients.
As a bench designer, you may be collaborating with other designers and members of PRR’s Creative Studio, or you may be working as the sole designer on a project. For this role, excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. You think creatively and can execute your vision through a diverse set of media, including print, digital, presentation, and social marketing. You work to the strategic intent outlined in a creative brief.
This is a part-time W-2 employee position with variable and flexible hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- In partnership with other PRR staff, create industry-leading, on-strategy materials using existing brand standards or materials and be able to develop new ideas with limited direction.
- Develop high-quality mood boards, design concepting, print collateral, newsletters, brochures, content for multimedia, and other materials as requested.
- Manage multiple projects on time and within budget – from conception to delivery.
- Prioritize accessibility and inclusion in all materials you create.
- Guide the creation and maintenance of style guides/online design libraries.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with PRR team members, clients, and vendors.
- Present your work with passion and professionalism, ensuring that client expectations are met or exceeded, and the needs of the audience are prioritized.
- Organize meeting time to receive clear and actionable feedback while effectively managing expectations.
- Actively participate in team meetings to discuss assignment parameters, progress, and potential obstacles.
- Stay up to date with changing trends in the field and best practices.

In this role, your time will largely be spent working on projects and billing your time to clients. Approximately 90% of your time in this role should be billed to projects. Any non-billable time would be billed to the company to complete administrative or other non-billable tasks. Our staff track and report their time spent on projects and company activities each week.
Experience/Education
- Bachelor of Arts degree or commensurate experience.
- At least three years of experience working as a graphic or visual designer, preferably in an agency environment.
