Position Overview

We are currently looking to add a dynamic Environmental Scientist/Specialist to our passionate team of environmental professionals.

Job Duties

The Environmental Scientist/Specialist will provide our government, utility, commercial and not for profit clients with the services and solutions needed to efficiently and effectively manage natural resources, comply with policies and obtain regulatory permits. Job duties will include, but are not limited to:

Field work to assess aquatic resources, rare threatened and endangered species habitats, and the quality and characteristics of identified resources and habitats.
Inspect a wide range of properties, both natural and disturbed, and assess their condition, health and functionality according to client specifications.
Identify local species and understand their typical characteristics.
Train and mentor teammates.
Work more directly with clients.
Represent the company and the client at professional meetings.

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications:

An individual must be able to perform each essential job duty consistently and satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Four year degree in Biology, Botany, Ecology, Forestry, Geology, Horticulture, Hydrology, Soil Science, Zoology or related discipline or equivalent experience in a similar position.
Master’s degree or advanced education may be required by project.
Driver’s license and clean driving record are required, a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) may be required by project.
At least 3 years experience in natural resource consulting.
