G7 Entertainment Marketing is searching for a Finance Manager to join our vibrant team of dreamers and doers. The ideal candidate is someone who is adept at finding efficiencies, improving profitability, and helping their organization thrive through effective collaboration, planning, and management. G7 is part of Project, a creative alliance of 16 agencies across the globe.
This newly developed position will work under the supervision of the agency’s General Manager and in close collaboration with the Project alliance finance team. We are looking for someone who has a proven record of success and growing responsibility over time, and is ready to take the next step in their career in a critical leadership role guiding the financial management of our agency.
This role demands a deep understanding of both financial oversight and operational efficiency, capable of navigating the complexities of a business that marries creativity with the fast-paced demands of the entertainment marketing industry. G7’s Finance Manager will be integral in ensuring financial health through meticulous management, compliance, and reporting while simultaneously spearheading operational leadership.

Success Measures:
- Accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting
- Ownership in operational efficiency and process optimization at the agency level
- Successful execution and financial supervision at the client level
- Strategic analysis and experience to support C-suite planning for growth
Daily Responsibilities:
- Financial Monitoring: Review daily financial transactions and cash flow to ensure the agency's financial health remains robust and proactive measures are taken to address any issues.
- Operational Oversight: Supervise operational activities, ensuring they align with the agency's strategic objectives and operational benchmarks.
- Staff and Contractor Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Legal, and Operations to oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and management of staff, contractors, and freelancers ensuring resource alignment with project needs and agency growth.
- Technology and Process Optimization: Identify and implement technology solutions and process improvements daily to enhance operational efficiency and employee productivity.
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Compile and analyze financial data to prepare detailed weekly reports, highlighting trends, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Operational Review Meetings: Conduct weekly operational meetings to assess the progress of key initiatives and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Vendor and Partner Engagement: Oversee ongoing relationships with vendors and partners, reviewing contracts and services to ensure they meet the agency's operational and financial objectives.
Monthly Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Financial Reports: Procure and analyze monthly financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, for review with the GM and CEO.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with the C-suite to refine and adjust financial forecasts and budgets based on the latest agency performance metrics.
- Process and Policy Updates: Review and update operational policies and procedures to ensure they support the agency's scaling objectives and operational efficiency.
Ongoing Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic oversight for both financial management and operational processes, ensuring they align with the agency's long-term objectives.
- Client Profitability Reviews: Meet with project managers to review project budgets and financial performance, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals.
- Staff Rate Management: Analyze staff salaries and corresponding billable rates to ensure profitability
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all financial and operational activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, minimizing risks to the agency.
- Operational Excellence: Spearhead the development and implementation of operational strategies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and employee engagement.
- C-suite Collaboration: Maintain open and transparent communication with the agency's leadership team, ensuring strategic initiatives are aligned and approved.
- Innovation and Growth: Drive initiatives that foster innovation, improve operational processes, and support the agency's growth trajectory.
- Client Contract and Paperwork Management: Oversee the execution and management of client contracts and other critical paperwork, ensuring legal and financial integrity.
- Management Requests: Wuch other requests made from management from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Local to the Nashville-area and willing/able to work from G7’s office on a hybrid basis at a minimum of 3 days per week
- A history of successful work in collaborative environments with multiple stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or other applicable field
- 5-7 years of workplace experience in management accounting or finance role
- Willing to submit to and pass a standard background check
- Operates in accordance with all G7 and Project’s ethics, workplace, and confidentiality policies
- Able to travel one to two times per year on trips lasting from one to four days
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- A self-starter able to work collaboratively as well as independently
- Proficiency with Google suite, as well as financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling platforms, ERP systems - JDE preferred).
- Prior experience in accounting or finance in at least one of the following industries preferred: marketing/advertising, PR, communications, music/entertainment, sports, events, hospitality, or client-focused professional services
