As an Product Compliance Manager, you will report to the Director of Sustainability and lead the development and advancement of our product compliance and safety program to greater maturity. You will partner closely with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. product team, finance, manufacturing partners, regulatory agencies, industry associations, etc.) to drive a product compliance program that meets regulatory requirements within the home furnishings industry. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring our products meet standards of compliance and safety.

Please note: We offer a hybrid work schedule of 2 to 3 days in the office. We are not considering remote candidates for this role.
In this highly cross-functional role , you will use your talents in the following ways as the Product Compliance Manager.
- Leadership: Influence a diverse range of professionals, both internally and externally, to enhance understanding of product compliance.
- Program Creation: Build and refine a robust product compliance program that meets regulatory requirements, including category-specific guidelines and improved internal processes like recall procedures.
- Strategic Project Management: Lead strategic initiatives to drive operational excellence in our compliance programs. Implement new regulations and establish control measures to minimize risks.
- Product Compliance: Develop and execute a comprehensive program that adheres to federal, state, and local compliance and safety regulations. Monitor and analyze compliance metrics to ensure effectiveness.
- Regulatory Compliance Expertise: Provide expert guidance on compliance legislation, including Prop 65 and BIFMA standards. Act as the liaison with local, state, and federal agencies as needed.
- Education and Communication: Craft communication strategies to educate and inspire internal and external partners on compliance safety topics. Oversee the development and implementation of annual training plans.
- Change Management: Implement strategies that help stakeholders navigate the evolving regulatory landscape in the home furnishings industry.

You will bring the following preferred skills, qualifications and experiences: Product Compliance Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, environmental health, chemistry, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience also considered.
- 10 or more years of experience managing product compliance programs; retail and/or furniture industry experience preferred.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
Proven ability to manage regulatory compliance and interpret complex procedures and regulations.
Strong project management skills with a track record of timely results.
Excellent collaboration skills across various business areas.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, comfortable transitioning between strategic and tactical roles.
Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, understandable insights.
