Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Systems Programmer/Technician - Maple Grove, MN
We are seeking a talented
I&C Systems Programmer/Technician to work closely with Project Engineers, clients, and contractors to develop and implement outstanding Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system solutions that exceed client needs and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with programming, start-up, and long term service and support of new and existing water and wastewater treatment facilities and pumping systems; systems include Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based controls, Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, radio and cellular telemetry, and networking.
- Troubleshoot process instrumentation and control system components.
- Troubleshoot electrical and control issues by reading control wiring schematics, and interpreting and programming PLC logic.
- Travel to project sites for service, support, and startup.
- Maintain and modify existing control systems.
- Maintain system documentation.
- Ability to work alone and communicate effectively with clients and other team members.
- Track project schedules and budgets.
- Ability to self-maintain list of tasks to be completed.

Basic Qualifications
- Associate degree in Industrial or Electronics Technology, Automation Controls, or similar field.
- 1-3 years relatable experience.
- Experience with programming, start-up, commissioning, and service of complex instrumentation and control systems.
- Experience with cellular and radio telemetry, as well as copper and fiber networking.
- Experience with device integration using industry standard equipment (such as Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, GE, AVEVA, Ignition, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or similar field.
- 3+ years relatable experience.
- Proficient with programming, start-up, commissioning, and service of complex instrumentation and control systems.
- Proficient with cellular and radio telemetry, as well as networking.
- Proficient with device integration using industry standard equipment (such as Allen-Bradley, Rockwell, GE, AVEVA, Ignition, etc.).
Physical Qualifications
- Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain.
- Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time,
- Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist,
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight,
- May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds,
- Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects,
- May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear,
- May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload,
- May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
