Brown and Caldwell has an opportunity for a Marketing Intern to spend a summer working with our Southeast Marketing team to support our Atlanta, Georgia office. We are seeking a motivated, achievement-oriented individual who wants to spend their summer gaining practical, hands-on experience outside of the classroom. Detailed Description: The Marketing Intern supports sales / marketing and business development efforts, including: strategic client development activities, creation of persuasive project descriptions and marketing materials; conference support; and maintenance of systems and tools to promote overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Interns at Brown and Caldwell make a daily, material impact by completing support duties to advance their team’s projects and objectives. They receive professional training and the support of their team. Interns can expect to be onboarded, mentored, and developed by industry leaders to develop real-life skills and make an impact on their assigned projects. As a Marketing intern, you can expect your experience to include the following:
- Organize, tag, and craft project descriptions in our database to gain understanding of our projects & clients
- Align client strategy materials in our database to create a central repository for information on our clients
- Conduct research on competition and client background materials to support our Business Development activities
- Work with staff on social media communications to support conferences and other industry events
- Successfully manage and deliver assignments on time.
- Working independently and with teams to complete assignments with other team members in a virtual platform.

Hybrid work schedule: 2 days in office at the Atlanta, Georgia office, 3 days remote
Desired Skills and Experience:
To qualify for an internship, you must be enrolled in a full-time program (minimum nine credit hours per semester) seeking a degree in engineering, science, geology, or a related field. You also must be in good standing and carry an overall GPA of at least 3.0 in your core curriculum, as well as a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
What Must Our Candidate Have? (Required)
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with emphasis on superior persuasive writing and presentation ability.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently as well as in team environments, often under tight deadline situations.
- Highly skilled in persuasive writing.
- Ability to identify key issues and patterns from partial/conflicting data.
- Proficient Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- InDesign experience preferred.
- The candidate must be in good academic standing with their university and carry both a cumulative and core curriculum GPA of at least 3.0
Salary Range: The hourly pay range for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
