Description

The Consulting Engineers Group (CEG) is seeking a Revit Modeler/Drafter to join its team in Mount Prospect, IL (Chicago NW suburb).

Essential Duties and Functions:

Layout erection drawings of structural and precast drawings.
Detailing and modeling of the precast project using Revit.
Coordinate and consult with other project team members to design layout or detail components, and structural systems of precast structure or building.

Requirements

Associates Degree in a related field (experience can be substituted for degree)
Perform essential duties and functions
Knowledge and understanding of engineering concepts and terminology
Knowledge and understanding of standard drafting and engineering practices and methods
Knowledge and understanding of CAD/BIM standards and software
Must be self-motivated and have a desire for continued learning and personal growth
Must be highly detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
Must have the ability to think critically, innovate, and solve challenging technical problems
Must possess a positive attitude towards project challenges
Must have effective time management and logical decision-making ability
Must possess a strong work ethic, the ability to handle pressure, and meet deadlines
Must possess mental and emotional fitness

Preferred:

Proficiency and 1-year of Revit (2006-2022) experience
Experience with precast concrete detailing
Experience with Microsoft Office software
Experience with Bluebeam Revu

Physical Demands:

Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer
Must have the manual dexterity required to use a desktop computer and peripherals
