ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

To accomplish this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Read blueprints, sketches, or CAD and CAM files.
Display a working knowledge of GD & T.
Set up, operate and disassemble manual, automatic, and CNC machine tools.
Align, secure, and adjust cutting tools and workpieces.
Build fixtures for machining parts.
Monitor the feed and speed of machines.
Turn, mill, drill, shape and grind machine parts to specifications and maintain tolerances.
Use gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
Measure, examine, and test completed products for defects.

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of machinist apprenticeship program with a minimum of 5 years of machinist experience. Journeyman certification is a plus.
