POSITION SUMMARY:
Support Kroger Supply Chain to guarantee on-time or expedited receipt of critical vendor purchase orders (POs). Connect with suppliers daily to monitor status of and identify opportunities with POs, escalate to appropriate contacts and assist with resolution efforts, as needed. Investigate late received POs to identify root cause and responsible party.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- This hybrid position will be required to work in our Corporate Office at least one half day per week based on your team’s schedule
- Works with both Corporate Brand and National Brand to accurately assess ordering & receiving needs for the Kroger Company.
- Manage a daily email process for multiple vendors detailing outstanding purchase orders.
- Collaborate with vendors on opportunities in getting product delivered to Kroger faster.
- Maintain detailed notes and status updates on all POs and share with appropriate parties.
- Communicate information from Kroger Transportation team on backhaul orders to vendors.
- Work collaboratively with other areas of our Supply Chain analyst team with a strong focus around process improvement, training, and communication.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Degree in Business, Marketing or comparable area of study preferred
- Experience in the grocery, supply chain, retailing, merchandising or CPG industry preferred
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience working in large data base systems and other web based applications
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment
- Very strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Highly motivated self-starter who can work with minimal supervision
- Ability to effectively craft and deliver a message to senior level executives
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, prioritize and multi-task
MINIMUM PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
- Must be able to:
- Remain standing/sitting for several hours at a time
- Lift 10-30 lbs. occasionally
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- A blend of merchandising and data analysis experience
- Experience with category sales, marketing, management, product development, negotiations, vendor relations, supply chain operations, procurement, distribution, and merchandising
