General Responsibilities

The Operations Supervisor position manages operations that facilitate the maximization of resources to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals.
Essential Functions
- Oversee janitorial operations for designated customer sites.
- Communicate effectively with employees and clients to ensure fulfillment of performance and quality requirements.
- Monitor daily work hours to remain within budgetary guidelines.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with Employees.
- Ensure proper usage of supplies and equipment through the training and development of employees.
- Communicates staffing changes to Manager.
- Assist Manager with Conducting inspections to ensure employees are following procedures and client specific SOP.
- Performs routine building inspections through frequent walkthroughs.
- Executes all duties and responsibilities promptly and effectively, in accordance with established company policies, to achieve the objectives of the position.
- Ensures the accuracy and proper submission of payroll timecards.
- Submit timely employee change orders, as required.
- Notify the Manager and Operations Leaders of any issues, concerns, or discrepancies encountered.
- Identify and resolve cleaning issues, make recommendations to management and staff, and promote continuous quality improvement to exceed customer expectations.
- Order and deliver supplies.
- Identify TAG opportunities.
- Assist cleaning staff with completing duties when necessary.
- Conduct safety training sessions with employees and support the manager in ensuring completion of Company STEP training.
- Enforces and promotes company culture with our DNA and Pillars in mind to ensure we are providing services the Pegasus way.
- Manage inventory of cleaning equipment and notify Manager of repairs needed.
- Maintain adherence to company guidelines regarding employee relations, disciplinary actions, and termination procedures.
- Oversee End of Shift Inspection (EOS) compliance across teams, ensuring guidelines are followed and discrepancies are addressed. Support Leads to ensure timely completion of inspections. Collect EOS data and report as directed to leadership for review and follow-up.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in janitorial or facilities management preferred, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with the OS1 cleaning system preferred.
- Proven track record of managing a team and ensuring operational efficiency.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Must provide authorization to work and successfully pass E-Verify.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.

- Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal, as this is a client-facing role.

- Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and teaching others its safe operation.
- Familiarity with budgeting and cost control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond to emergencies promptly.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with administrative duties such as reporting and payroll.

Technology Proficiency
All Supervisors and above in a leadership position must be comfortable using computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and various technology systems, including reporting and ticketing systems. Leaders are expected to be able to enter data, submit thorough reports, and adapt to new systems as needed. Familiarity with current tools is essential, along with the ability to quickly learn new technologies to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency in business operations.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment, or medical buildings, and/or other industry buildings, depending on accounts. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job regularly walks job sites.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position oversees all assigned department employees, providing leadership and managing performance under the guidance of Operations and Regional Leaders.
Physical Demands
- Ability to walk several times a day across multiple job sites
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to push a broom or mop; bend, reach, stand and walk for extended periods
- Repetitive use of hands, wrists, arms, and legs, including climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, crawling, and squatting.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Any adjustments to work hours and days must be discussed with and approved by the Manager.
Travel: Travel is primarily locally.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Additional Information / Benefits
Annual Salary Range: Up to $68,000; Depending on Experience
