Wage: $22.93 - $27.50/Hr. based on experience

Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant I provides logistical and operational support within the Warehouse and Receiving departments.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Generates and edits paperwork for outbound and inbound shipments.
Directs truck drivers to bay doors.
Assists with shipping and receiving appointments.
Provides excellent customer service to drivers and other customers.
Follows basic shipping procedures and meets all deadlines.
Assists with validating documents and reviews for accuracy.
Assists with monitoring ERP data and identifies inconsistencies and errors.
Complies with all company policies and procedures and operates all equipment in a safe and food-safe manner.
Complies with Bob’s Red Mill food safety policies and procedures including adherence to FDA regulations, Safe Quality Food (SQF) Standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Responsible for reporting food safety and quality concerns to Supervisors and/or Department Manager.
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.
This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
Ability to perform accurate and timely data entry.
Familiarity with common office equipment.
Ability to follow exact procedures and protocols.
Ability to work effectively with a team using direct communication, respect, and creativity.
Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines.
Skilled in using Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to read, understand, and communicate information in English.
Demonstrates Respect, Teamwork, Accountability, and Determination.
Ability to work in an environment where exposure to potential food allergens is or may be present.

Education and Experience:

1 or more years of administrative or clerical experience, AND
High school diploma or equivalent; OR
Any combination of education and additional years of experience that provides the necessary skills, knowledge, and ability to perform assigned tasks.

Preferred Skills:

Familiar with inventory management.
Familiar with shipping and receiving procedures.
Skilled in using ERP and supporting software.

Physical Demands:

Position requires the ability to sit for up to approximately 2 hours at a time.
May be required to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

The primary work environment for this position is within an office setting. There are no adverse conditions associated with this position.
Employees will be exposed to common food allergens.
