Summary: The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and assisting in the overall financial management of the company. This role will work closely with other finance team members and provide support to the accounting department.

Duties:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reconcile accounts, including bank and general ledger accounts.
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Partners in A/R collection process
Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Assist in compliance with tax regulations and audits.
Maintain and update financial databases and systems.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and insights.
Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting function.
Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned.
Prepare year-end returns (1099’s, W-2’s, 1095’s)
Partners with our Safety Department and Operations Leadership to promote and ensure a safe work environment and ensure all safety precautions are met.
Prompt and reliable attendance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of accounting experience (preferably in a corporate setting) required.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
CPA or other relevant certification is a plus but not required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. SAP, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High level of professionalism and discretion.
Proactive and adaptable to changing priorities.
Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
