Summary

Provides technical support to department personnel in processing commercial insurance policies. Such serving will include verbal and written communication internally with staff and externally with current clients and other office support activities.

Client/Policy Services

Provides daily support to Claims Coordinators and existing Commercial Line claims.

Responsibilities include:

Gathering information from Claims Advocate to process claims.
Processing all mail for claims.
Assisting in developing and maintaining good relationships with existing clients, internal personnel, company adjusters, and service vendors.
Performing administrative functions, including but not limited to correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
Maintaining claims dead files.
Assisting in preparing large loss notices.
Following up and obtaining adjuster contact information and dairying back to Claims Advocate.
Learning all Commercial Lines service standards and procedures.
Developing Advocate confidence in job knowledge, judgment calls, and awareness of current industry trends and developments.

Office Administration/File Management

Teamwork

Works together with the team and with other departments, including conferencing with the Producer or Account Executive to discuss the execution of strategies. Assists in training new service team members. Volunteers to back up and/or assist other Associates as needed. Any special project as assigned by the Service Leader. Manages PTO to work with departmental needs.

Displays commitment and initiative to meet department and agency education goals as set forth in the organization’s education program.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Must be able to obtain insurance licenses and designations as set forth by the organization's education plans.
