Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately assessing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management and project management, with proficiency in estimating software. This position requires excellent negotiation skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead.
Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create accurate bids.
Analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and potential challenges.
Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimates.
Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget.
Conduct regular cost control assessments and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field.
Proficiency in estimating software. - Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing and budgeting.
Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
Familiarity with project management methodologies is preferred. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
