Job Responsibilities
- Serve as primary point of contact for specific sales and use tax consulting services clients as assigned by the Director of Client Services to ensure high quality, responsive services are provided consistent with client contract.
- On-board new sales and use tax consulting services clients and serve as primary point of contact to internal personnel regarding service delivery.
- Maintain working knowledge of current and proposed Texas sales and use tax taxability rules and reporting requirements, client website portal, sales and use tax reports package, and forecasting/budgeting resources to support client consultations.
- Train authorized client users to access website portal, run reports, and interpret data to support client’s related revenue-management strategies and decisions.
- Proactively advise key client contacts regarding sales and use tax developments of interest.
- Attend meetings with clients and governing boards either virtually or in person to present and provide consultation regarding sales and use tax, including but not limited to data variances, taxpayer compliance issues and related mitigation strategies, and general and client-specific sales and use tax trends for forecast/budget purposes.
- Collaborate with internal research teams regarding client-specific taxpayer reporting issues or abnormalities identified in sales and use tax data. Attend and contribute to routine monthly meetings with research team regarding noteworthy client-specific taxpayer developments. Follow up on any related assigned tasks and monitor follow up activities of others to ensure client interests are satisfied.
- Review client invoices to ensure compliance with client contract and documentation requirements and resolve any deficiencies with internal staff prior to client distribution. Cooperate with accounting team to address any post-distribution invoice issues.
- Coordinate ad-hoc reports and special projects in response to client requests. Collaborate with internal staff to refine report/project criteria, develop scope of work and associated costs, manage established timelines, finalize client-facing work product, and provide follow-up consultation with client.
- Develop working knowledge of unique, client-specific reports, assist with completion of reports, and interface with key client contacts as determined appropriate in consultation with the assigned primary client services manager.
- Collaborate with Director of Client Services and other members of the client services team to develop or refine client services team management tools to promote team efficiency.
- Collaborate with Business Development regarding contract renewals and/or service line enhancements and coordinate implementation of related service changes or additions.
- Attend and participate in tradeshows and conferences to support client outreach and business development objectives.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Client Services.

Education and Experience
- Minimum of 5-years experience working directly with governmental entities delivering high impact solutions, either in a consulting role or account management practice
- Project management experience and/or Sales support experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and the ability to learn other software programs quickly as required
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and confident oral and written communicator
- Professional demeanor both in person and on the phone with a customer service orientation
- High integrity, with an ambitious and passionate attitude
