Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Senior Product Owner to join our IT team. The Senior Product Owner is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the delivery, continuous improvement, and overall lifecycle management of Urschel’s ERP system. This role requires a balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, ensuring the ERP system not only meets current organizational needs but is also positioned to address future challenges and opportunities. The Senior Product Owner will also provide functional and technical support for the Epicor ERP system while driving improvements and enhancements to align with business goals. The position is not remote, and it will be required to report daily to the Corporate Headquarters in Chesterton, Indiana.

The ideal candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in IT. 5+ years of experience as an Epicor ERP Subject Matter Expert (SME), with technical and functional expertise. Strong knowledge of manufacturing or distribution processes, including production scheduling, procurement, and inventory management. Demonstrated experience in negotiation, issue resolution, and driving enhancements to ERP systems. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools for project management. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
