Pan-Oston is seeking high-potential, highly motivated and skilled team players to join our team!

We have an immediate opening for the following position:

Associate Buyer

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

To assist the supply chain department by purchasing materials, products, or services required by the company, ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY:

To purchase MRO items, supplies, and raw inventory along with communicating with various departments to meet procurement needs and identify supply chain concerns. This role involves inventory and supplier relationship management, supplier negotiations, RFQ bids and conducting vendor evaluations by utilizing Vendor Scorecard, CAR’s, and Past Due Reports to ensure a quality supplier base.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

Process all MRO requirements via purchase requests
Manage PO processing through analyzing MRP to effectively buy raw materials on time as well as communicating with suppliers MOQ, price changes, lead times, and supply chain disruptions
Prepare vendor evaluations
Assists in communicating purchase order status to scheduling, sales, and service departments
Update item master files through MRP with lead time changes and updating safety stocks based on current requirements
Review and analyze sourcing opportunities by commodity
Quote and enter new purchased parts into Macola
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Skills & Abilities)

Strong negotiation and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
Organizational skills and ability to multi-task while coordinating activities
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of market research, data analysis, and forecasting techniques
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree and/or Highschool Diploma or GED with experience

Preference for Supply Chain degree or concentration.
